I was growing up in a Christian family and the advent was an important time of the year. Every year our mother did an advent crown by herself. Each time was different, original and whimsical. I loved her ideas and how she brought them to life. I also loved that from time to time she experimented with candles and not always used the four small advent candles.

As children inherit a lot of attributes from their parents – usually more than we can imagine – my mother’s advent spirit stayed with me. I love making advent crown and I love it if it’s different one every year. I’m very happy that our mother has a feeling for aesthetics and that she passed it on to us, her children. I will be ever grateful to her for this. Thank you, mom.

And now, I invite you to enjoy a poetic video how me and Marko made our DIY advent crown. Enjoy the Christmas charm everybody!
