Wellness Orhidelia Terme Olimia

Almost a year ago, I was talking about visiting a spa in the post Roman British Bath. I didn’t visit any real spa afterwards and therefore there wasn’t any post about it. Until now. Last weekend we took time for ourselves and had a wonderful evening in Wellness Orhidelia. We are lucky that Orhidelia is just 15 minutes drive from our home. We packed swimsuits and we were on our way. Wellness Orhidelia is the newest and the most prestigious part of Terme Olimia in Podčetrtek. The architecture is modern, mystic and there is a relaxed vibe in the air. It has extravagantly high ceilings with the tree-alike construction and beautiful soft lighting.

By the entrance, you get a bathrobe and a towel, get changed and you enter the pool area. In this area, you have one big pool with a “cave” and lazy river, jacuzzi, music pool where you can hear music under water, and outdoor pools. All pools have temperature between 31 and 32 °C. When you have enough of swimming pools you can go to detox your body in sauna center. It contains all from Finnish saunas to steam baths. You can rest between saunas in calm thematic resting places, such as a room with waterbeds. My favorite resting place is in the Finish part with marvelous wooden ceiling.

Wellness Orhidelia is a wonderful wellness with beautiful ambient and you go home completely relaxed. I should go there more often than once a year. They also offer massages but I never been to one (ever) and I would like to go one day. We were in Orhidelia on Friday between 8 and 12 PM when they offer special prices (Saturdays as well). I recommend it to everyone. Warm indoor and outdoor pools embrace you, gorgeous sauna centre warms you, numerous thematic resting spots with complete silence soothes you, and refreshing culinary delights replenish you. Take some time off and have a few moments just for yourself.
