Every time when the weather starts to change and transforms in the new season I’m very happy that I live in the part of the world where we have all four seasons. We caught a glimpse of autumn in a weekend getaway in Beograd at mighty Kalemegdan. Belgrade Fortress is the core and the oldest section of the urban area of Belgrade. It offers many monuments and memorials, fountains, parks, galleries or museums, sports terrains, restaurants and coffee shops. And you can enjoy an amazing view over the River Sava and Danube, and an urban area of modern Belgrade.

We can also be grateful that we live in an economical stabile county like Slovenia. I learned that Serbia has a much lower standard of living. When I was speaking to the natives they are not happy with the situation in which the country is in. It is very hard to find a job, the minimum wage is 282 EUR and the food and housing are not that cheap. They struggle a lot, have more jobs at a time and are dreaming about life abroad. So the lesson is: be grateful for what you have and don’t take it for granted.
