I got this question a lot from my Slovene readers these days so I decided to write this post in both languages, English and Slovene. Scroll down for Slovene version.
Zadnje dni me veliko prijateljev sprašuje o nasvetih preživljanja časa v karanteni. Zato je v tej objavi pod angleškim besedilom zapisana še slovenska različica.


Coronavirus came out of nowhere. We didn’t expect it and when it started spreading in China we thought that it will not come to us. But globalization is exceeding our awareness and unfortunately, here it is. A big thanks goes to everybody who work in hospitals, volunteers, workers in stores, postmen and all others who risk their lives every day in this critical times.

I hope that all of you follow the instructions and stay at home in quarantine in self-isolation and that you wash your hands so that we will stop the virus from spreading. I hope that you are healthy and well. Keep in mind that this will pass. All we can do now is stay kind, stay positive and stay safe.

In this situation, we have something in abundance which usually we never have enough of: time. But some people do not know what to do with all this time. Here are some of the suggestions to do at home while being in quarantine.

Watch series.

Watch movies.

There are plenty options for e-books which is great in these circumstances.

Cook. 
Try a new recipe. Bake. Make homemade bread.

Make a homemade spa.
Light candles, take a bath and do a facemask. Afterward, do your nails.

Finish open projects. 

Take an online course. 
Great free online courses.

Workout.

Learn a language. 

Clean your house.

Play board games.

Call family and friends.

Make an photo album.

Shower your plants.

Take time off from technologies. 

Listen to a podcast.  

Do a DIY project. 
Some DIY ideas.

Start journaling.

Build a pillow fort.

Camp in the back yard.

Have an indoor picnic.

Sit outside and listen to the birds.


Korona virus se je priklatil nenadoma. Ko smo spremljali poročila o tem, kaj se dogaja na Kitajskem, si nismo predstavljali, da bo prišel do nas. Ampak na žalost se ne zavedamo negativnih vplivov globalizacije in ujel nas je nepripravljene. Poklon in velika zahvala zdravstvenim delavcem, prostovoljcem trgovkam in trgovcem, poštarjem in vsem, ki v teh kriznih časih pomagate in prispevate, k reševanju stanja.

Upam, da upoštevate navodila. Da ste doma v karanteni, v samoizolaciji, skrbite za redno umivanje rok in upoštevate vse ukrepe, ki bodo pripomogli k zajezitvi širjenja virusa. Upam, da ste zdravi in v dobri formi. Tudi to bo minilo. Trenutno si vzamite čas zase, ostanite prijazni, optimistični in zdravi.

Smo pa v tem času pridobili nekaj kar smo vedno pogrešali, česar ni bilo nikoli dovolj: čas. Nekaterim se zdi, da ga je celo preveč in ne vedo kaj naj z njim. Morda vam lahko spodnji predlogi pomagajo z idejamo po preživljanju prostega časa.
