Classy, elegance, great comfort, richness, bouquets of flowers, chandeliers, spacious halls, big expense. Welcome to the world of the rich.

Karlovy Vary was always a place where royalty, celebrities, and high guests were warmly welcomed. And Karlovy Vary knows how to make them feel special with beautiful luxury hotels like Hotel Imperial, Carlsbad Plaza, and Grandhotel Pupp. They are all extravagant hotels in which we didn’t stay for the night but we went there to have a coffee. The experience begins the moment you see the hotel from the outside. The greatness compels you. And the indoor does not disappoint either. Everything is so big and carefully placed that you just stand there and observe.

Grandhotel Pupp as we know today was rebuilt between 1896 and 1907 into the neo-Baroque and was owned by Pupp family between 1775 and Second World War. After the war, the hotel has nationalized and it was renamed Grandhotel Moskva in 1950. The hotel’s original name was restored in 1989 and it has since been privatized. It’s an impressive hotel which also appears in the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale as Hotel Splendide in Montenegro. If it’s the right hotel for James Bond than you know that this is the best that there can be.
